Suicide Silence Revealed to Have Had Group Therapy

Almost two years ago, Suicide Silence’s vocalist died in a motorcycle crash. Mitch Lucker’s death shocked his family, his friends, and his band, and since then, he has been remembered as one of the greats.

But, metalinjection.net only now reveals that the premature death of Lucker took a much worse toll on the band than anyone knew. The report says that the band took group therapy to cope with their loss.

Chris Garza, the band’s guitarist, said, “There were things I didn’t even realize I was thinking, about Mitch, until the therapist drew it out.”

The band entered group therapy as a recommendation from their manager because some of the members turned to drugs and alcohol to ease the pain of their loss - not healthy at all! Aside from getting all their thoughts and feelings about Lucker out, the band also let out some issues with the other members, and resolved them in therapy.

Garza also said, “Everybody that's been in a band knows that everybody has those things you don't talk about; things that are touchy subjects with different members that you just start to avoid.”

Suicide Silence is co-headlining a tour this fall across North America with The Black Dahlia Murder.
