Sweet Freedom for Blythe

Randy Blythe, frontman of American metal band of Lamb of God, has been acquitted of all charges in Prague Municipal Court.

Blythe, 42, was charged with manslaughter for the death of 19-year-old fan Daniel Nosek in 2010 when he pushed him off the stage, resulting in Nosek hitting his head.

Nosek died in hospital several weeks later.

"I believe that I acted reasonably to protect myself, our gear, and the audience," said Blythe.

Judge Thomas Kubovec ruled that Blythe did not intend to commit the crime, and if the other party wished to apply for compensation, they would have to go to civil court.

Now that Blythe is a free man, Lamb of God has taken to social networking sites, such as Twitter, to congratulate Blythe on his freedom.
