Above: Alexia Kapralos - new intern at The Edge |
It's a new year, with new beginnings for 2014. Hope all has been going well for all you rockin' readers out there.
On a personal note, I would like to announce that I am an official member of The Intern Army at Toronto's new rock radio station, 102.1 The Edge. This is an accomplishment that I am truly grateful for earning because it is my dream job.
102.1 The Edge is one of Canada's top new rock radio stations and is apart of a larger company called "Corus Entertainment" (which also houses other Canadian radio station's such as Toronto's classic rock Q107, and TV stations as well).
What else is exciting? I will be taking everything I love doing here on The Rock Spot and going on air myself! But don't worry folks, The Rock Spot isn't going anywhere. Rather, I will also be working on my own radio show called "The Plug-In" on Ryerson University's campus radio, The Scope. It is still in its early stages of development, but it's a project I'm really excited to be taking on. Currently, The Scope broadcasts online only, (http://www.thescopeatryerson.ca) but our application for an AM frequency is still being process so fingers crossed!
All in all, I look forward to another year working on The Rock Spot and I look forward to exposing you all to some great music, reviews, and news.
-Cheers-
Congrats on your internship Alexia!! I can so see you at The Edge & know you'll do an amazing job :)
