Toronto to say goodbye to another music venue

A few months ago, there was a scare that the iconic El Mocambo in Toronto would be closing down to make room for condo development. But, it's been confirmed that club/concert venue Kool Haus and The Guvernment (all one complex) will be closing its doors forever on January 31, 2015.

After almost 20 years of operation, the venue will be closing due to condo developent (surprise surprise).

In a press release from INK Entertainment, posted on exclaim.ca, they said that the venue, "...after 17 years of innovation, inspiration, and playing host to Toronto's most legendary nightlife events," is INK Entertainment founder CEO, Charles Khabouth "proudest achievement."

"It makes me proud to see how far we've come," Khabouth said in a statement.

Over the years, acts such as Deadmau5, Prince, The Rolling Stones, My Chemical Romance, and David Guetta have played shows at the venue.

So sad to see another Toronto attarction close. What are your thoughts?
