As shocking as this sounds, Lambesis was taken into custody in Oceanside, California after allegedly asking an undercover detective to carry out the murder.
"The information came to us late last week," San Diego County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Jan Caldwell told Reuters. "We acted quickly on it. I believe that we averted a great tragedy."
As I Lay Dying was to tour with Killswitch Engage this year, but it is currently unclear if this will still take place anymore.
